Vladimir Putin issued a decree appointing presidential aide Igor Shuvalov Chairman of the Interdepartmental Commission on Russia's participation in the G8.
Igor Shuvalov will perform the duties of the presidential representative on affairs of the group of the leading industrial countries and relations with representatives of the G7 countries’ leaders, Russian Sherpa, deputy chairman of the Organizing committee for Russian presidency in the Group of Eight in 2006.
Presidential adviser Andrei Illarionov has been released from all these duties.
